Business Analyst I

Position Overview

The Business Analyst I will be responsible for understanding and analyzing client business issues and applying proprietary software solutions to resolve them.  Analyst will interface directly with customers on front line support issues; solving issues if possible or detailing specifics of problem and forwarding to a developer if needed. 

Analyst will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, software applications, manual systems, and other materials to formulate an improved system solution using the ClientSpace software.   The analyst will assist in the creation of system specifications and estimates in response to client specific needs. 

The analyst will learn how to configure ClientSpace in order to resolve many client issues without using development resources and also to assist with new client setup. The analyst will also be tasked with the creation of end user documentation and training materials.  This will include the creation of annotated screen captures, short “screen capture” videos, and supporting written text.

  1. Respond to direct client support issues, resolving where possible or providing specifics before forwarding to a developer.
  2. Develop system specifications and estimates based on specific client requirements.
  3. Become expert at ClientSpace configuration capabilities to support both new and existing clients in optimizing their value from the system.
  4. Develop end user documentation and training materials.

 


Specific Requirements

Basic Prerequisites:

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  2. Expert in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
  3. Proficient with web-based enterprise software, able to learn the software without relying on documentation and training
  4. Experience with business process analysis and software specification development 

Exposure to the following is helpful:

  1. PEO, Employee Leasing, HR Outsourcing, staffing business practices and processes
  2. Enterprise CRM applications such as ClientSpace, Salesforce.com or MicrosoftCRM
  3. Ability to lead meetings and present in front of a group
  4. Creating and editing simple graphics for use on web using Photoshop or similar tool
  5. Camtasia and Jing
  6. Ad-hoc report writing tools such as Izenda, SAP, Cognos

Problem solving and a passion for value-add, customer driven, software solutions will be valued far above mastery of any of the specific skills listed above.
